Had limited showing, but did show in futurity classes and Junior Western Pleasure at the '96 World.
When she got to Worlds, she was sort of over-whelmed by it all and didn't place.
It's hard to get a really good picture of her, now. She was bred the following spring, in
1997, and delivered a filly in February of 1998. Ashley fractured her pelvis the very next
day. 12 weeks of stall confinement resulted in loss of muscle tone, which she never got
back, so her hind quarters always look lean. Luckily, her pelvic walls didn't collapse.
Ashley is still able to carry and deliver a foal without problems.
Her 2001 filly, Chip Happens (Chelsea), promises to be as wonderful a broodmare as Ashley. This mare's grandson,
Your Zippers Open (Ollie), is carrying on the great traits these bloodlines offer.
