Quincy under saddle

~ Quanah Parr Bar - AQHA #4403216 ~

"Quincy"

My first Oklahoma bred horse did not originate at Diamond Run Farm, he was purchased from one of my hay customers! Quincy was acquired as a weanling colt in November, of 2003, and made the trip from Oklahoma to Illinois. In the spring of 2004, he was one of the first two horses to arrive at the new farm in Oklahoma.

Quincy cut his forearm open on his very first night, so I had to take him back to Illinois to doctor his wound, after a three day stay at the vet clinic. He returned to Oklahoma in June of 2004. Needless to say, trailering doesn't phase this guy, anymore. He has been started and will be used as a good trail horse.

Quincy has learned how to keep cool in the Oklahoma heat. He simply walks out in the pond while getting a drink. Many times, he keeps on standing in the water. The mares don't follow him in, they just look at him and walk away.
